    Today we opened our new shop - The Pantry - next to our existing shop at Botany Bay. The deli stocks a comprehensive range of mainly local cheeses, honey, jams, chutneys, relishes and sauces from Lancashire artisan producers, and an impressive range of continental foods imported from Italy and Spain.   • Bread making classes

    Just as we have settled into baking at the new unit, the builders will be coming in to carry out refurbishment works. Part of the work will be to create a new teaching room in preparation for the bread making classes that start in January 2015.

    The classes will run from 12pm - 4pm with lunch and refreshments, aprons, equipment and ingredients all provided - and you get to take home a bag full of bread that you baked!

    We will initially be holding the classes every Thursday. Other dates may be added, subject to demand. If you would like to book a place, please email through our Contact page, or call Julie on 07968 197358. Gift vouchers are available if you would like to buy a place as a Christmas gift.

  • On the move

    A very busy week! We moved production out of Botany Bay on Tuesday (5/8/14) and moved oven, mixers, etc into a much larger unit just a few minutes away. We now have the room to take on a new baker, and hopefully a new apprentice, and increase production for both the shop and wholesale customers.

    We can now work on our expansion plans at Botany Bay. We are doubling the shop size to create a new sandwich bar. As from 1st September customers will be offered a range of made to order sandwiches and a greater bakery range that includes quiches, fruit pies, moring goods, etc. Look out for the 'All You Knead for Lunch' flyers promoting the new range and offering discounts and take away meal deals that can be ordered in advance.

    In the meantime, we hope to see many of you at one of the food festivals held in August - Clitheroe on Sat 9th, Fylde Coast on Sunday 17th and Bolton Food and Drink Festival Friday 22nd - Monday 25th.

    The photo below shows the bakery being set up (Craig's dad helping out). It was a late night but managed to get straight enough for a 5am bake on the following day. We obviously like a challenge!

  • We are well into a busy summer. Our expansion plans are ongoing and we will be moving production into a much bigger unit very close to the Botany Bay shop at the end of July. The additional space will allow us to increase production and expand our range of goods. We'll post photos as soon as the work is completed.

    We were delighted to be chosen as finalists in the BIBAs (Be Inspired Business Awards) in the New Business category. It was a very thorough process but we enjoyed it and are looking forward to the award ceremony on 12th September in the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool.

    Julie is also a finalist in the EVAs (Enterprise Vision Awards) in the New Business category again. These awards are for women in business throughout the North West and the winners will be announced at the awards evening at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool on 26th September. Two new frocks then!

    The food festival season is upon us. You can catch up at the wonderful Clitheroe Food Festival on Saturday 9th August, the Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 17th August and the excellent (but very tiring) 4 day Bolton Food and Drink Festival over the bank holiday weekend Friday 22nd - Monday 25th August.

  • A spring in our step!

    May already! And we are so pleased to have been included in a feature in the May issue of Lancashire Life which looks at the Top Ten artisan bakers in the northwest.

    We have also been shortlisted for a BIBA award (Be Inspired Business Award) in the new business category. We will be off to Blackpool later this month for an interview and, if successful, will be visited by the judges at our bakery in June. The winners will be announced at a gala evening in September.

    All in all, it's nice to know others think we are on the right track and both Craig's talent as a baker and our success in business are being recognised.

    Thanks to all who came to see us at the Lancaster Food and Drink Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend, it was nice to see so many familiar faces - you foodies certainly get around! We were also at Great Harwood farmer's market on the Sunday and we have to say a big thank you to all those we drafted in to help out.

    We are busy making our exciting plans for All You Knead a reality this summer - we'll keep you updated :)
