• On a journey....

It may only be mid April but we already have 2012 down as a success. We're juggling jobs, family life, kid's itineraries and all those 'to do' lists that we all have with making our dream a reality.

Our initial idea was to provide real bread to more than just family and friends, and voila! All You Knead was born - that was the easy bit. Since then I've taught myself web design and how to twitter (still getting the hang of both) and Craig has been baking, often before the birds are up and sometimes without bothering with sleep at all - and we're loving it!

We have a growing band of loyal customers and the diary is filling up nicely with more farmer's markets, fairs and shows (details to follow).

So, in for a penny and all that. We bought our lovely deck oven and then started a conversion job so we could house it in a self-contained bakery unit right next door to our kitchen - and yes, Craig has done almost all the work himself. It's almost finished (photos soon!) and he can't wait to spend some quality time bonding with his oven.

We've have great support and some good advice from family, friends, other producers, bread lovers and even the lovely lady from the council, and we'd like to thank them all. We really feel like we're on a journey. We haven't quite figured out the destination but it's all about enhancing our family life, teaching our children that not all food comes from a supermarket, and, of course, it's all about the bread.
