• Bread making classes

    Craig held his first bread making class today at the Wellbeing Farm in Bolton and it was a great success! We've had great feedback and a particularly lovely comment from one of the students on our Facebook page. It has really inspired Craig to carry on and hold more classes. We would love to work with the Wellbeing Farm again - the staff are great and the facilities are amazing - but we will also be holding some classes at our bakery at Botany Bay. This will include small group adult classes and children's workshops in the summer holidays.

  • New Customer Loyalty Card Scheme

    We are delighted to announce that our new customer loyalty card scheme will be launched on Saturday 11th May, at the start of Real Bread Maker Week.

    The scheme is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers, especially those who shop with us regularly. So many of you understand our ethos and what we are trying to achieve and we really do appreciate your support.

    So how does it work? Simply complete the application form next time you are in the shop and you will be issued with your loyalty card. You will collect a loaf point for every £5 you spend in the shop and when you collect 12 points you will qualify for the Baker's Dozen Loaf - a free loaf of your choice. You will also be issued with a new loyalty card to start again.

    We hope to keep members of the scheme updated with special offers and discounts by email - on bread making courses, special events, etc.

  • Real Bread Maker Week 11 - 17th May

    Launched by the Real Bread Campaign in 2009, Real Bread Maker Week is Britain's biggest annual, national celebration of Real Bread and its makers.

    Its aim is to encourage people to get baking Real Bread or buying it from independent bakeries such as ourselves.

    We are proud to be members of the campaign and are keen to encourage as many people as possible in not just buying Real Bread but making it. Craig is always happy to pass on his know-how to aspiring home bakers. We will also be offering baking classes at our bakery in Botany Bay this summer.

  • First Anniversary

    It's 12 months this weekend since we first sold our bread to the public at Cuerden Valley Farmer's Market and what a year it has been! All You Knead started in the kitchen, moved into our very own home micro-bakery and now operates from our bakery and shop in Botany Bay, Chorley, selling our growing range of breads and baked goods 7 days a week.

    We still attend Cuerden Valley FM every month, along with several other regular markets and food festivals, and are forever grateful to our ever growing band of loyal customers who not only return time and again, but have supported us by telling, tweeting and generally shouting about us from the rooftops.

    It's been a year of working weekends and unsociable hours, juggling family life, jobs and finances, standing in the cold hoping people will turn up and wishing we had baked more when they turn out in force.

    It's also been a year where we've been met some fabulous producers and organisers, many who have become great friends. We now have a whole network of like-minded foodies, tweeters and facebook friends!

    Not much of this would have been possible without the love and support of family and friends, in particular our parents, and the understanding of our children. They have helped to smooth the way and their (unpaid) time and effort are very much appreciated.

    All You Knead is still very much a work in progress. We have big plans for the future - but if the last year has taught us anything it's that anything is possible with hard work and a bit of luck.
